born 5/31/08 · 4 hobs, 2 jills - a few with mitts, a few without. plenty of nose shading. dark sables and black roan mitts? probably.

These little beauties came out strong and are gaining by leaps and bounds. Torch is one of my best mommas; she's got outstanding milk production, her babies last year were the biggest of any litter and these seem to be following suit. TC is a beautiful black roan mitt (aka silver mitt) and Torch is a gorgeous dark sable. These babies are an even mix of dark ones and light ones with a few sets of mitts showing. It looks like we've got 2 black roan mitt hobs, 2 dark sable hobs, a black roan mitt jill and a dark sable jill with nose shading on everyone. I guess we'll find out for sure in a few weeks.

Torch's litter last year by a Black Hawk son produced some outstanding ferrets, including 2 Best in Show winners and the Adolescent Ferret of the Year Runner Up. We've tried a different Black Hawk son this year so the pedigrees are very similar and we hope for similar results. If these are like last year's babies, we expect very personable ferrets with a high degree of intelligence who will fit into just about any home. Early reservations on this pairing strongly suggested.
